Sister Christian

For my younger brother, Carl, who always loved this song… Somewhere along the life journey, you let go of the hand of God while I held on tightly; well, I’m still holding on and there’s still time for you to grab a hold and join us for the rest of the ride.

The masters touch

Listen to your Sister Christian…
take his hand, Carl

take His hand, Carl

Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you’re the only one
To say O.K.
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don’t want to play no more with you
It’s true

You’re motoring
What’s your price for flight
In finding mister right
You’ll be alright tonight

Babe you know
You’re growing up so fast
And mama’s worrying
That you won’t last
To say let’s play
Sister Christian
There’s so much in life Don’t you give it up
Before your time is due
It’s true
It’s true yeah

Motoring
What’s your price for flight
You’ve got him in your sight
And driving thru the night
Motoring
What’s your price for flight
In finding mister right
You’ll be alright tonight

Motoring
What’s your price for flight
In finding mister right
You’ll be alright tonight
(repeat)

Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you’re the only one
To say O.K.
But you’re motoring
You’re motoring

  1. Beautiful! Thanks sis!

  2. this song brings back memories of the old 80’s power ballads with killer lead guitar solos and aw how can we men forget about the hot chicks in the videos. but it is so awesome how when we invite Jesus Christ to come dwell inside of our hearts things change and we look deeper into the meaning of things rather than what the physical aspect of it looks like on the outside. you see we are changed from inside out so we should now look at thigs in the same manner. this video and song to me shows a girl willing to do what ever to find Mr .right, most girls are still doing the same thing however as christians women who are single it is not about Mr. right, it’s about who does God have picked for a partner for me who will be in it for life not just for the moment, we can do some things in the moment and be good to go like a nice motorcycle ride and see all of God’s creation in a different way than in a car. when it comes to marriage it is more than just a moment thing it’s more than just a life thing it’s a God thing and Christian women need to disciple each other on this particular topic because marriage today isn’t what it used to be. and only we Christian men and women can change it through example and educating any young teenager or young adult as much as possible,

  3. You are so right, Robbie. Jesus Christ is my “Mister Right…” It has taken me a long time to recognize that there is no comparison to the love He offers me that has stood me through the years. Agape, Christ-love is enduring — it never fails.

You’re welcome, Lyn, and thanks! So glad you enjoyed this.

  4. This post brought tears to my eyes…
    Thank you for sharing…
Much love in our wonderful Lord Jesus

  5. O Lord, hear Adrienne’s cries for Carl. I join her in her prayers for him. Please bring him to you, Father! Help him to open his heart and turn back to you. We ask for ALL in our families to come to you and become part of YOUR family! We cry out to you, Lord, begging for your will for each person in our lives. Make your love grow in us, so we never give up praying for them. In Jesus’ name – Amen.

Thank you for sharing this. Precious.

  6. I had only read two lines to this post and I got choked up. Father I ask you as I am writing this that you hear our prayers and the prayers of your daughter for her brother Carl. Lord touch his heart and call him out of this world as you have called us, open his eyes, ears and heart to you Lord. In your sons precious name we ask this, Amen and Amen!

  7. Hmmm. You don’t give reasons why your brother has de-converted but may I offer a song for him?
    Freedom, by Jimi Hendrix.
