12 As holy people whom God has chosen and loved, be sympathetic, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. – Collosians 3:12
It is interesting to read and think about what is within the Holy Bible, the word of God.
God makes things very clear. Jesus exhibited the qualities we should emulate during his human walk upon this earth.
How can one tell the true from the false?
As “Holy people,” we are admonished to show compassion, sympathy, and gentleness toward our neighbors.
When one hears that millions of people may lose their health care and may be at risk of severe illness or even death, this should be a concern; it should be something one would resist supporting.
We can tell who really loves Jesus Christ and is following Him by the fruit of compassion within their lives.
Jesus Christ will show us who is real and who claims to be something they obviously are not.
Well written post and it right on the point. However, worrying about the future is counter to trusting that He will provide. Believe I see where you are coming from, but we can’t change the fact we have a new president, like it or not.
I know God has a plan for me and I will follow the path He has chosen for me, without question or concern for I know He will not abandon me. I will be viligent and be fully aware of what the world around me is doing, but I won’t let myself worry over something over which I have no control.
Love,
Ed

You do have control Ed. Speak up!!! Make your voice heard in the halls of power on behalf of the “least of these” who are about to be crushed by people who lack compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. God didn’t create you to be shrimp toast. Speak up. If 160,000,000 people will speak up, evil will have a much harder time getting its way. Pastor Martin Niemoller rewritten for modern times:

You don’t need no dollar bills to have fun tonight—just a pen and piece of paper—or typing fingers.
